First of two finished-quality sketches of a couple of my original characters from my comic-verse.


Here's a headshot of the Eternal GAURDSMAN, looking rather beatific, though I swear it's just that his helmet is shiny!

Captured in war during the expansion of the Roman Empire, GUARDSMAN was a slave, then a gladiator, and finally a soldier in the most dreaded Roman legion, the Sons of Romulus. It was as a part of that force that he met and befriended the enigmatic time traveller, VAGRANT, and was fatally wounded in a fight with VAGRANT'S nemeses, the dreadful TIC AND TOC.

After escaping with his wounded ally, VAGRANT used his powers to heal GUARDSMAN before continuing on his journey. Unfortunately, the healing left GUARDSMAN'S body locked in time, unable to age or die of natural causes.

He has since become an unmatchable warrior, fought countless wars, been both hero and villain, all the while awaiting the return of his one-time friend, VAGRANT, the only being in the multiverse that can release him from his long life.

Sketched with mechanical pencil .05 hb lead, inked with Micron and Faber-Castell pens, colored with Prismacolor markers. Thanks for viewing!
