The Kingdom out of Time In addition to vast swaths of untamable forest and mountains, the Kingdom boasts its fair share of cities, like the one Vagrant and Mary are floating over, held aloft by Vagrant's powers. The architect clearly has seen and studied the most complex structures and mass dwellings assembled by any species, but the finest tools he had at his command were the raw, elemental forces of creation. As such, things wound up a bit rough around the edges.
THE CHARACTERS
VAGRANT: Waking in a bizarre land with no memory of who he once was, the name Vagrant and the burden of saving the multiverse are thrust upon his shoulders almost before he's relearned to speak. Unsure of himself and his supposed time-bending powers, he's having trouble convincing himself he's up to the task of being a hero. Except when he's around Mary, that bombastic, super-strong warrior woman who keeps telling him they're destined to love each other.
MARY: She's waited for an interminable number of eons for his arrival. She's always known they were destined to be lovers. But gnawing at her heart is the secret knowledge that they're destined to lose each other. At least, that's how it happened last time around. Can she keep her tragic secret long enough to help him become the hero he needs to be?
THE ARTS
Well, this one is dedicated to my special lady friend. She's been roadtripping for the last week, and still has another week to go. I'm glad she's off having a wonderful time, but I miss her like crazy and I was feeling a little romantic. A sketch of this just popped out, and since I really liked it and it was something different from what I've done before, I decided to take it all the way.
~ 45 minutes to sketch (0.5 hb mechanical pencil) ~ 45 minutes to ink (micron technical pens) ~ 7 1/2 hours in photoshop to color
I hope you enjoy!

This is very nice. Love all the colors and the two characters have great, fitting expressions for the scene. Like that little waterfall in the background too,

I liked the waterfall too. I was like, "You know what always makes me love a place more? A water feature."
